For nearly two decades, Julia led the development and delivery of the visionary innovation programs at VESKI, including ground-breaking leadership initiatives, cross-sector roundtables, impact reporting and prestigious awards, grants and fellowships. Building on her significant experience, and her ‘can do’ approach, she is focused on collaborating with global leaders through JLPInnovation. Julia is a talented presenter, strategist, and negotiator; able to forge and retain solid relationships with partners and collaborators to build consensus across multiple sectors. As the founder of JLP Innovation, and an active adviser to several organisations, Julia has a global ambition to identify and deliver innovative solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges including a long-term passion for diversity in STEM. She has significant leadership and governance experience as a non-executive director and Company Secretary over the past twenty years. Most recently, Julia has been sharing her experience with councils and committees of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce, St Vincent’s Hospital Foundation; Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre; Inspiring Australia – Vic and AgTech Seeds pre-accelerator program. She is also an adjudicator for several grants and awards including the annual research awards for the National Transport Research Organisation. Originally from the UK, Julia has a base in both Queensland and Victoria. She trained as a technologist, obtaining BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Essex, UK in Information Business Systems Technology. She is also a postgraduate of Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government in Emerging Leaders Executive Education and has undertaken the AICD Company Directors course.
