Charity Nankunda is a third-year PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham supported by a full Commonwealth Scholarship. Originally from Uganda, Charity also serves as an assistant lecturer at Makerere University, Uganda. Her research focuses on Road Safety Economics, with a particular emphasis on optimizing resource allocation to reduce the frequency and severity of road traffic injuries in low- and middle-income countries. Charity holds an MSc in Advanced Engineering Management: Construction Management from the University of Birmingham. Recently, she published a systematic literature review titled "A Systematic Review of the Application of Road Safety Valuation Methods in Assessing the Economic Impact of Road Traffic Injuries" in the MDPI journal, available atdoi.org/10.3390/futuretransp3040069.
