Dr Clarissa Han leads the National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO) Sustainability and Materials Performance Business Group, delivering high profile research on the use of recycled or alternative materials for sustainable roads, climate resilient infrastructure, environmental impact assessment and advisory, lifecycle assessment and economic evaluations of transport options, and sustainable future mobility solutions. Clarissa has 28 years of engineering and research experience in transport management and operations, infrastructure sustainability and resilience, traffic studies and analysis, congestion cost estimation, and emerging ITS technologies, tools and performance benchmarking.
Clarissa is the fellow member of the Engineers Australia (FIEAust). Clarissa has been the PIARC (World Road Association) Working Group Chair ofTC2.4.2 (ITS and sustainability) since 2019. She is also a Board member of the International Road Federation (IRF) since 2022. She is a regular speaker at various international transport conferences and forums.
