State Key Laboratory for Track Technology of High-Speed Railway
Dr. Jijun Wang is the Director of the National Key Laboratory of High-Speed Railway Track Systems in China. He is also the Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of the Railway Engineering Research Institute at the China Academy of Railway Sciences. With over 30 years of expertise in railway track technology, he has been a driving force behind technological innovation and engineering advancements in high-speed and heavy-haul railway infrastructure.
Dr. Wang has played a pivotal role in China's innovation of high-speed railway systems and 30-ton axle load heavy-haul track technologies. From 2016 to 2023, he led the technical consultation for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia, a landmark 350 km/h rail project that became operational in October 2023.
Beyond his leadership in research and engineering, Dr. Wang serves as the Committee Manager of ISO/TC 269/SC 1 Railway Applications – Infrastructure and as the Convenor of the Ballastless Track Systems Working Group, further advancing international standardization in railway infrastructure.
