We are delighted to welcome Cynthia Heydon, Deputy Secretary Transport in Tasmania's Department of State Growth (Tas), as a keynote speaker for the NTRO International Technical Conference.

As Tasmania's Transport Commissioner, Ms. Heydon holds a statutory role with State-wide planning and coordination functions across all road managers in Tasmania. With over 20 years of experience in the transport industry across multiple Australian jurisdictions in both government and operator organisations, she brings extensive expertise in network design, capital program delivery, road maintenance, passenger transport policy, procurement and regulation, road safety, and registration and licensing.

Ms. Heydon has provided advice on a wide range of complex issues associated with transport policy, planning and investment to Government, Boards and other stakeholders, and is a passionate advocate of the public sector delivering better outcomes for customers and communities.
